Running Sucks
Some of the closet training has been running. So last night on my usual run of 3 to 4 miles I quit at the 2.5 mile mark and thought "you know this sport really sucks." Wow look at me I'm running, very slowly. At least on the road bike it is nice because the scenery changes, running it SLOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOWLY changes and when it does change my vision is to blurry to see anything. I'm concentrating on making sure my shoe is what is going to be in contact with the ground next not my face. No I did not just start running yesterday either. I have run around 50 miles in the last month or so. Do I keep up with it, no! Why did I start? The same reason Toby started, burnt out on the bike. But now that I see how much running sucks I think I will start riding again. But Toby did have a good point about running, there are a lot of races and you don't have to drive far. But when you run slow like me then running sucks, I LIKE SPEED. Bring out the bikes! I'm sorry ladies, I know the four of you have felt neglected but I promise to ride you all more.

Speaking of riding. There is nothing like Dupont to wake up the senses. Possible Epic on 9/14. Let me know if you are interested.
With all that have to do on Sundays, I appriciate the offer but I can't do it. Plus that after my first and maybe last foot race, might not be able to move.
I was going to try inline skating this year for the off season training and some trail running. Running on the street suhhuckssss. If you all want I'll come up and shout some old military cadences I still know.
NO! drill Sargent! That's OK Drill Sargent! I don't need to run too much Drill Sargent!
Set up a goal for yourself. It's the only way the running thing makes sense. Example to run the outer loop at HSP when it's 40* this winter. The running also helps with dipping back into burn out again.
Made the Thurs. urban ride last night. Impressive 2:45~40mi and no urban, just Old State and out into Calhoun Co. Plan on next Thurs.
